me and mr. iamevanford

every girl has things they look for in a guy.

almost every where you look (i.e. twitter, pinterest, etc) there seems to be a pattern.

musician.
handsome.
photographer.
barista. (come on girls, you know its true)
and most importantly:
loves the Lord with all his heart, and SHOWS it in his everyday life.

that is a lot for one guy to have in his resume.
somehow, in some crazy way, the Lord has recently blessed me
with a guy who has all five,
(YES all five.. and soo many more!)
of these characteristics.

alright, lets rewind back to last March or so.
i was bored one day and was aimlessly scrolling through instagram.
eventually,
(i dont remember how exactly, i mean we all creep, right?)
i ended up on some guy's instagram profile.
his name read: iamevanford.
"wow. he's a great photographer."
-- i thought as i skimmed through his past few pictures...
after reading his bio, i realized he was also a christian.
now usually i would neeeever follow someone on instagram i dont know,
(we do have a few mutual friends, but still
BUT this iamevanford guy had over 2000 followers!
soooo i followed him, and then he followed me back. no biggie.
i had noooo idea what would come of me pushing that little blue button.

okay, now fast forward to July.
Evan and i began to talk on instagram (okay, annnnd twitter)
 once in a while.
(his name is Evan incase you didnt catch the iamEVANford)
one day i decided to go into PacSun,
which happens to be one of my favorite stores,
and low-and-behold,
Evan was working!
this was where we officially met.

over the next couple of months we kept talking.
we would talk for hours.
(sometimes on twitter, which didnt make our mutual followers very happy...
by overloading their feeds but, oh well!)

well my family and i left for two weeks in hawaii, and even while in paradise,
i found myself wanting to talk to him.
the day i got back, we went to coffee.
i was sooo nervous.
(both my mom and my best friend Ali can testify to this).
despite the nerves, i had such a good time!
and this started it all...

today, i am so lucky to call mr. iamevanford my boyfriend.
he is one of the most genuine,
caring,
thoughtful,
and talented people i know.
i love how easy it is to talk to him,
and how he can always make me laugh.
i feel so blessed to have him in my life and to be able to call him my boyfriend.
thanks for being you, Evan!

ps. everyone go follow him on instagram, he's pretty great:

happy blogging. xo.
